Kleresca® Acne Treatment

Learn about the treatment and the science behind Kleresca® Acne Treatment

How the treament works

Kleresca® Acne Treatment uses fluorescent light energy (FLE) to stimulate the skin’s own repair mechanisms2-12.
The treatment is based on the interaction between a specially designed photoconverter gel and the Kleresca® Light1-3,12
The chromophores in the gel convert the blue light from the lamp into fluorescent light energy that covers the spectra from green over yellow and orange to red (approx. 510 – 610 nm) at once2,3,12.
The fluorescence generated (dynamic, ultrafast pulsing light) penetrates the multiple layers of the skin, triggering documented healing responses2,3,12-16

How the treatment is performed

Patients typically describe the three-step treatment as a pleasant experience2-12. It only takes nine minutes under the lamp1. With little to no downtime, make-up can be applied immediately after the session1,12

1. The skin is cleaned and Kleresca® Acne Treatment gel is applied

2. The gel is illuminated for nine minutes using the Kleresca® Light; fluorescent light energy (FLE) is created stimulating the skin’s own repair mechanism

3. The gel is removed and the skin is cleansed and moisturized.

High-efficiency and painless2-6

In a randomised, multi-centre, split-face clinical trial with patients suffering from moderate to severe acne, patients were followed during treatment (twice per week for 6 weeks) and afterwards for an additional 6 weeks in order to study the long-lasting effects5.

Clinical trial results4:
Persistence of efficacy was demonstrated for at least six months, with the two grade or better improvement from the first trial maintained in 92% of patients. No patients reverted back to baseline. Patient safety profile was also excellent, with very few related adverse events. Based on experience from current clinics, patients treated with Kleresca® Acne Treatment show results lasting up to a year or above.

Conclusions:
"Study confirmed the long duration of effect following treatment"
"Patient safety profile was excellent, with very few related adverse events"
"Kleresca® Acne Treatment provides long-term efficacy and safety in the treatment of acne vulgaris, with a rate of compliance above what is generally observed in a young population"
